- 01
Search the directory
Filter by state, by what happened, by language, by whether you would rather speak to a woman, and by who takes cases free of charge. No account is needed to search.
- 02
Read their profile
Every listing shows a bar enrolment number we have checked, years in practice, where their office is, and exactly what they charge, including the ones who charge survivors nothing.
- 03
Contact them yourself
Call, message or email directly, on your own terms and in your own time. The conversation never passes through us, and we never see it.

at the feet of those who broke you”
Join the directory
If you are called to the Nigerian bar and you take these cases, whether pro bono, sliding scale or at your usual rate, list yourself. Registration is free and we take nothing from your fees. We check your enrolment number and your standing before your profile becomes visible.
Takes about ten minutes. Verification usually within five working days.
Questions people ask
Before you start
Do I have to report to the police to speak to a lawyer?
No. A lawyer can explain your options, what evidence matters and how long you have, without you filing anything. You decide what happens next, and you can stop at any point.
What do I have to tell you to use the directory?
Nothing. There is no intake form, no case description box and no account to create. You are never asked what happened to you in order to search. That conversation belongs with the lawyer you choose, when you choose them.
How do you check the lawyers listed here?
Every applicant gives an NBA enrolment number, and we check it against the roll and confirm good standing before their profile is published.
How much will a lawyer cost?
It varies, and every profile says up front whether that practitioner works pro bono, on a sliding scale, at a reduced rate, or at their usual fee. You can filter the directory down to the ones who charge survivors nothing. LIVESNG takes no commission and holds no client money, and no payment is ever made through this site.
What if it happened years ago?
Still worth asking. A lawyer can tell you where you stand in one conversation.
Is LIVESNG responsible for the lawyer I pick?
We verify that a listed practitioner is enrolled and in good standing when they are listed. We do not supervise their work or guarantee an outcome. You can rate them after your engagement and if someone listed here treats you badly, contact us and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
What if someone else uses my phone?
Your browser records the pages you visit, and nothing this site does can change that. A “Leave this site” button sits at the bottom of every page (the Esc key does the same), and it replaces the page so Back does not return here. The support services page walks through browsing privately and clearing history afterwards.
A lawyer is rarely the first call
Referral centres can give you medical care, keep forensic evidence safe for later, and sit with you while you decide whether to report. None of it commits you to a case.

Want to know when new lawyers join in your state?
Occasional updates about the directory. We never share the list, and one click unsubscribes you. If checking email is not safe for you, skip this.
